By Martin Hyde
Description: Rock is the staple diet of the Dead Good Kids, but also the key ingredient for the Gremlins to duplicate. The result: a horde of Dead Good Gremlins - well not so good Gremlins. The screen shot doesn't do this piece justice as the piece is a huge A0 canvas and there is only so much detail we can show in the screen shot.

The Dead Good Kids are a series of alternative children's characters created by Martin Hyde. They were conceived during the autumn of 2007, whilst Martin was preparing the nursery for his first child. Martin wanted to create some interesting artwork for the baby's room that was fun and cute, but also a reflected his own personal tastes.
The core idea of the Dead Good Kids is not to judge a book by its cover. The characters may look a little spooky, but they are sweet natured and thoughtful, and of course exceedingly stylish. Martin has extended the range to over 50 characters, many of which can be seen on this site. There are plans to develop a series of children's books, a range of greeting cards, a children's clothing range, and a toy collection.
